Concentrating on its vow to India as its core potential market for growth, Tourism Malaysia launched the much-awaited ‘VisitMalaysia 2020’ campaign at a three-city roadshow covering Amritsar, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
Mohd Hafiz Hashim, director of Tourism Malaysia in Mumbai stated: “VisitMalaysia (VM) 2020 roadshow in Mumbai permits us to do a quality interacting with the travel trade association and to increase Indian tourist footfall to Malaysia. The VM2020 roadshow emphasizes India as a key potential market for the country.”

In 2018, 600,311 (+8.6%) Indian travelers visited Malaysia. Figures from January until May 2019 show that a total of 295,609 with the progress of 15.5% Indian visited Malaysia compared to the same period last year.
A consolidated number of 37 participants from Malaysia including a combination of 16 travel agents, four product owners, nine hotels, three air company and five exhibitors shared the newest growth of tourism in Malaysia.
