Visa fee for UAE exempted for tourists under 18 years, conditions apply

Travellers under 18 years of age have now been exempted from the UAE visa fee when travelling with their parents. This new regulation is only limited to the UAE’s prime attraction, Dubai. The offer stands factual from July 15 to September 15, 2019. The visa fee exemption for travellers under 18 is mainly for families to save on the travel permit cost for their children, and relish Dubai’s theme parks, water parks, and all the entertainment they offer.

According to the Acting Director-General for Foreigners’ Affairs and Ports at ICA, “These amenities contribute to backup UAE competitiveness as a top destination in family tourism and fascinating visitors and families from all over the world to relish historical monuments, heritage, and social and entertainment activities and mesmerizing beaches.”



Dubai has some world-class attractions and receives a group of sightseers each year. This time around, you can also take your children to some of the world’s hand-picked attractions without worrying about their visa. There is a lot including the unbelievable Burj Khalifa, Palm Islands, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, Dubai Mall, and more to discover. Of course, for kids, the most unbelievable attractions here are the Wild Wadi Waterpark, Dubai Safari Park, Dolphin Bay, Ski Dubai, Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo amongst others.

Travellers under 18 years of age, escorted by one or both parents, would be exempted from the visa fee, irrespective of the duration of stay. The visa fee exemption is valid to citizens of all nations.
