US President Donald Trump to inaugurate the world’s largest cricket stadium in Gujarat

The President of the United States of America Donald Trump will inaugurate the world’s largest cricket stadium in Gujarat on his forthcoming visit to India, planned for Monday.

After gaining recognition for building the tallest statue in the world of legendary freedom fighter Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel, India has made one more record by coming up with Sardar Patel Stadium aka Motera Cricket Stadium, which is the most spacious and extensive cricket stadium in the world having the strength to accommodate 11,0000 individuals. It is likely that the launch ceremony will see the presence of thousands of spectators.

The Motera Stadium will substitute Australia’s Melbourne Cricket Ground as the world’s largest cricket stadium now. Situated in Ahmedabad, this stadium will also be a ground for other sports activities like football, boxing, basketball, hockey, squash, badminton, billiards, swimming and lawn tennis.

The stadium will also have state-of-the-art facilities involving four dressing rooms, separate team meeting rooms, three practice grounds, indoor cricket academy and an Olympic-size swimming pool. The stadium parking lot can accommodate 4000 cars and 10000 two-wheelers.

In addition, LED lights will be put up for the first time ever in a stadium. There will be different entry and exit points and 75 corporate boxes. The stadium is close to a metro train station to offer easy availability to the users of even public transport.

As for Trump’s India visit, it is projected that the US President will also make a trip to Mahatma Gandhi’s residence in Ahmedabad and the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra.
