Tunisia to host an EDM festival on the shooting place of Star Wars

Star Wars fans have something to look forward to, as a Star Wars music festival is all set to make your world go around. Titled Dunes, the festival is back after a gap of three years, and is being held at Ong Jmel, Tunisia. This unbelievable site is a former Mos Espa Star Wars set. The site was also a set for the movie English Patient.



Dunes will be a non-stop 30-hour French electronic dance music (EDM) festival and is going to host 30 DJs, who will keep you wide-awake and dancing all night long. The site that is shown as Mos Espa in the movie Star Wars (as Luke Skywalker’s hometown), is Ong Jmel, that is a southern desert in Tunisia. The movie set has been left as they were through the shooting of Star Wars; nowadays, many tour operators take attracted folks to the place.


The EDM festival is going to feature some big names, including Behrouz, Benjemy x Lola, Lee Burridge, Sam Shure, and Stimming. The Dunes festival ongoing from 2014 and is an association between the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts of the Republic of Tunisia. The festival is an exclusive experience, as the setting is completely breathtaking. The crew behind the festival is Plages Electroniques from the French Riviera, and it promises lots of fun and thriller for 30 hours straight.
