Turkish Airlines has started its move into the new Istanbul Airport.
Overlooking Camara de Lobos Bay, one of the area’s most famous attractions, the property is called for former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who vacationed on the isle with his family in 1950.
The property has 57-room and is located 10 minutes from Funchal, Madeira’s capital, and a short walk from the cliffs at Cabo Girao, identified for a suspended glass platform overlooking the Atlantic.
The ancient property earlier had a council chamber and a fish wholesale market, which is situated on the waterfront and offers a restaurant, bar, panoramic rooftop pool, gym, sauna and a spa treatment room.
The entrance lobby features a bronze statue of Churchill by Portuguese artist Martim Velosa
