A piece of fantastic news for the enthusiasts of fine things! The very much-awaited India Craft Week 2019 (ICW) is coming to Aerocity this year. Craft Week is one ideal platform to discover, identify and buy special handicraft products of all states. If it is any product that you were looking for from long, this is the place for you.
The occasion is all set to begin from December 4 to 8 at GMR Square, Aerocity. Additionally, the Craft Week will be rejoicing the best of Indian handicrafts; if by any chance, you happen to be at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport, it will make up for a wonderful stopover to grab some beautiful souvenirs.
During this five-day carnival of colour and art, people will get a chance to get up-close and personal with respected artists including Bhajju Shyam (Padma Shri recipient) and Chamba Rumal among others. The amazing part of the ICW this year is the fact that most of the exhibitors are State and National Award winners. They will also be present here to guide fascinated people by disclosing their knowledge about art.
When here, you can purchase some fine black stone pottery from Manipur along with the famous Phad and Rogan paintings from Gujarat. There will be numerous other exciting works on display here, including Bihar’s Madhubani paintings and other products, Jaipur’s blue pottery and West Bengal’s Kalighat paintings.
In addition to the above-mentioned program, the ICW is also preparing for a lot of other thrilling things related to art and crafts. Several of the interesting experiences lined up for the five days are Craft Rare (promoting rare handicrafts) and Craft Panorama (tribal folk and fine art collection).
