It is time to rejoice one of the biggest sacred events of the year in Odisha, the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. It is predictable that like every year, many passionate pilgrims will be visiting Jagannath Puri in Odisha in the approaching days.
Thus, in order to comfort and easy travel for the travellers, Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway (ECOR) has decided to track 194 trains from various parts of India to reach Puri. These trains will function from July 4 to July 13, 2019. According to the bulletin reports, the railways will use electric media at the Puri Railway Station to notify the travellers about this enterprise. In addition, an app named ‘ECOR Travel’ has been launched for the Jagannath Rath Yatra; the app gives all the essential travel-related data about Puri Rath Yatra.
The railways will correspondingly open 60 new railway ticket reservation counters at the Puri railway station. In addition, automatic ticket selling machines will be put up at the station. At the Puri railway station, Railway Protection Force (RPF), sniffer dogs, police squads and government railway police force will be present to safeguard the safety of the visitors.
